TEKKEN 8 HUB

Tekken 8 Matchups

Per-character matchup notes for patch 3.00.02. Each character page lists the 5 toughest and 5 easiest opponents, sidestep direction guidance, and key punishes. Use these as a starting point — actual matchup outcomes depend heavily on player skill and matchup knowledge.

How to read this chart

Tekken matchups are decided by three things: who has the better whiff punisher at the relevant ranges, who can punish the other's most-blocked move (-10 to -15 brackets), and who has the answer to the other's primary stance / mix-up. The lists per character are sourced from competitive consensus on rbnorway.org, wavu.wiki community polls, and pro creator videos.

Sidestep direction is the single biggest free-info you can carry into a matchup. Each matchup page lists the safe side per opponent — memorize this for your most-fought 5 characters and rating gain is immediate.
