Panda — Matchups
Toughest
- Xiaoyu — Panda's high-heavy stance pokes whiff entirely over crouching Xiaoyu and Phoenix Stance evades the bear-hug grab. Use `db+1` mid-low to force standing block.
- Lili — Lili out-spaces Panda with `ff+3` and punishes Panda's slow stance startup with i12 `b+4`. Backdash into `WS+1+2` whiff punish is your only neutral tool.
- Hwoarang — Hwoarang's flamingo kick string carries Panda corner-to-wall before she finds a defensive window. Block low — Hwoarang's `b+3` mid is his only fast mid, sidestep RIGHT.
- Dragunov — Drag's `df+2` (i15) tracks both sides and his short hitbox sneaks under Panda's standing `2`. The matchup is just bad — eat the chip and look for armor reads.
- Nina — Nina's SS+4 launcher punishes Panda's stance commits and her i10 jabs interrupt every Hunting Bear setup. Don't even try mix — just block and counter-hit.
Easiest
- Asuka — Asuka's parry stance does nothing vs Panda's command grabs. Mix `df+1+2` grab and `db+1` low for free damage at the wall.
- Steve — Steve has no lows. Panda stand-blocks the whole match, then armored `f+3+4` through his peekaboo for round-ending combo.
- Kazuya — Kazuya's hellsweep and EWGF whiff against `Hunting Bear b+1+2` armor. Panda's giant range punishes any whiffed Devil Twister.
- Heihachi — Warrior stance pressure loses to Panda's armor reads, and Heihachi's i14 mid lacks tracking against Panda sidestep. Bear-hug for the win.
- Claudio — Starburst-fueled mix dissolves under armored stance entries. Panda's `2,1` reaches further than any Claudio i12.
Sidestep: Sidestep RIGHT vs most right-handed strings — Panda's wide hitbox makes SSL inconsistent. Vs Mishimas, hold block and read the hellsweep; Panda's backdash is too slow for whiff punish.
