Kazuya Mishima — Matchups
Toughest
- Bryan — Bryan b+1 and b+3 outrange Kazuya at neutral. Don't chase — bait whiffs and EWGF on recovery. Bryan snake-edge (db+3) is unsafe — punish with `WS+2`.
- Dragunov — Drag's df+2 launches Kazuya's whiffed CD. Stay disciplined, block more. EWGF on his df+2 whiff is round-ending.
- Reina — Mirror Mishima fight — whoever lands first EWGF wins the round. Reina's Sentai stance has more options than Kazuya's plain stance. Sidestep LEFT vs Sentai 2,1.
- Lili — Lili's range and backdash make EWGF whiff-prone. Use `b+4` (counter-hit launcher) to call out her dash-in.
- Steve — Steve's sway evades Kazuya's mids. Use `df+4` (low) to break sway. Frustrating despite Kazuya having more launchers.
Easiest
- Asuka — Asuka can't keep up with EWGF speed. CD on neutral, sidestep her predictable mids, win on damage.
- Kuma — Big hitbox = free CH `df+2` confirms. Kuma stance options lose to Kazuya's `b+4`.
- Yoshimitsu — Yoshi's flash is launch-punishable on block. Don't fall for the gimmick — `df+2` on read.
- Eddy — Eddy's offense is read-heavy. Block low on Negativa, then full launch.
- Panda — Same as Kuma but worse defensive options. EWGF spam wins.
Sidestep: Kazuya benefits from sidestep RIGHT vs most chars (he's left-handed, so right step away from opponent's right hand). Vs Bryan, sidestep LEFT to dodge b+1. Vs Dragunov, sidestep LEFT to dodge df+3 series.
