Jun Kazama — Matchups
Toughest
- Dragunov — Drag's `df+2` outpaces Jun's `df+1,2` poke and his `wr+2` homing eats Jun's sidestep. Genjitsu stance is sidesteppable on its entry frames — Drag steps and launches.
- Bryan — Bryan's range outzones Jun's mid-range Genjitsu pressure. b+1 whiff-punishes Jun's parry stance commits. Keep Bryan in close range only.
- Reina — Sentai launcher catches Jun's parry attempts and EWGF beats Genjitsu startup frames. Mirror Mishima-style fundamentals — winner reads better.
- Devil Jin — Devil Jin's hellsweep + EWGF combo bypasses Jun's parry timing. Air parry whiffs because of his flight cancels. Block more, parry less.
- Yoshimitsu — Yoshi's unblockable flash mids force Jun's parry into guess-state. Stay in Genjitsu's plus range only.
Easiest
- Kuma — Genjitsu pressure with `GEN.1,1+2` is +0 on block — Kuma can't contest, can't sidestep due to hitbox. Free Heat engager every round.
- Asuka — Mirror parry war — Jun wins because Genjitsu launcher (i14) outpaces Asuka's i12 mid. Sidestep her wakeup to bait parry whiff.
- King — Jun's parry catches King's chain throw startup frames and her i9 jab interrupts ff+1+2 tracking grab. Force King out of range.
- Paul — Paul's Deathfist whiffs against Genjitsu sidewalk. Parry his `db+2` low for full punish. Easy Heat engager into wall-carry.
- Steve — Steve has no lows — Jun stands and Genjitsu-pressures. Her `f+1+2,P` parry-confirm punishes every PKB.b+1 whiff attempt.
Sidestep: Jun sidesteps LEFT vs most right-handed chars, especially during Genjitsu mix-ups. Vs Mishimas, sidestep LEFT after their `df+1` ends for a Genjitsu whiff-punish. Vs grapplers, never sidestep at neutral — parry instead.
